How Does the MIE-Racing School Program Work?

We provide classrooms with a robust online platform, including the latest solutions in virtual race technology, that enable students to learn principles of engineering as part of a virtual race team and gives teachers the tools to easily check schedules and track progress, all with real-time support.

Online Platform

Weekly STEM lessons and assignments are given to students via our Online Platform that works on any computer or device connected to the internet. The lessons are available 24/7 and can be done in-school or at home. Students and teachers also have access to online experts who can answer questions and provide real-time support.

Student eRacing Teams

Students are assigned to race teams and given real-world role assignments such as Race Engineer, Automotive Engineer and Team Principle, where they must function just like a real world race team to engineer solutions and win the end of season race. Weekly group assignments are given via the Online Platform and executed on our state of the art race simulators provided as part of the program.

Program Technical Director

Teachers act in a supporting role as the school's technical director to monitor student progress and provide overall in-classroom support. Onborading of teachers includes a 4-day professional development course, where teachers go through the program and are fully trained on both the simulator software and all course materials.

Each School has 1 Season per Year

Pre-Season Testing

Students get practice play on the Simulator by driving on track and learning the basics of the software and how it works.  Students will also form teams, choose individual team roles, and much more.

Regular Season

An 18-week curriculum where students learn the basics of engineering and then put their knowledge into application through simulator based play as a real world race team.

Championships

Individual schools compete to take top place and then prepare for Nationals, where top performing teams get to compete against each other for a chance to win prizes and scholarships.

Preparing Students for Real World Careers

Every student also gets access to our online college and career center, where they can learn about careers and get advice directly from our team of industry experts.  Plus, our program teaches real world skills needed in all career seekers.  Some of the real world skills learned in our program include:

Critical Thinking
Teamwork
Communication

Preparing Teachers to Transform the Classroom Experience

Our 4-day training helps teachers build skills and confidence around the MIE-Racing program and prepares educators to become the Technical Director and program coach while empowering them to bring learning to life through the MIE-Racing program.
